WHEDA A. CARLETOS, Ph.D.
Dr. Wheda A. Carletos, Ph.D. is a dynamic Life and Leadership Coach with an accomplished history as a trailblazer in public health, education, and mentoring others. Wheda graduated cum laude, from Georgia State University, earned her master’s degree in public health from Emory University and her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at Mercer University. Her groundbreaking career began with a focus on community outreach by partnering with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Georgia as the Director of Programs and Services for the Arthritis Foundation. While working in the community as a public health educator for 10 years she developed a love and a passion for teaching and motivating others. That passion led her to embark on her journey in 2004 as an award-winning K – 5 teacher. She later joined the KIPP Metropolitan Atlanta team where she successfully navigated teaching, curriculum coordination and becoming a founding Dean.

In 2013 Dr. Carletos had the privilege of founding and leading KIPP Vision Primary School in Atlanta, Georgia, one of Atlanta’s top performing elementary schools, she also served as a Leadership Coach for KIPP Foundation since 2017. This proud member of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated has a true sense of community and the value of mentoring and coaching others. As a certified executive coach, Dr. Wheda Carletos uses tools and leverages her experience to impart knowledge that helps organizations to maximize their potential and leaders to attain their goals and walk in their purpose.
While the above are certainly proud accomplishments for Dr. Carletos, she gains unrivaled joy from spending quality time with her amazing husband, Carlos, and her three beautiful, courageous and curious children Sydney, Kennedy and Clark who continue to teach her the infinite capacity to love, learn and to live life to the fullest with no fear.
